Words

You taught me to pray, and for that I thank you as I say:

I pray that your days are long and full,
Full with the blessings of health,
prosperity and God’s unending, unrivalled favour.
I pray that you fulfil your destiny,
walk the paths and reach all of the heights
that our Father ordained and predestinated
When He first created you.

I pray that He prospers the works of your hands,
That your seeds will grow bountiful and healthy
So that you can reap the rewards of your toil;
Let no man sit on the throne that your labours build
No one should ever take your place,
No one, as God lives.
I ask that your lives are an unqualified success
That you never walk in the shame of failure
Until the end of your long days.

I pray that your life is full of joy
The kind that shines like the sun and never dims;
And the blessings of old age.
I pray that your eyes see your seed prosper
You ears shall hear the adoration of your descendants,
Generation after generation.
May your hands hold your grand-children
And their own children;
Like Abraham, let your seed be numerous and great
If you cry, let every tear be one that expresses joy
And gratitude for the love that He shows you
And the gifts that manifest that love.

I pray that you are never alone, never lonely
Never without the love and presence of the ones
Who mean everything to you.
You shall sorrow not over your children,
Nor over the works of your hands.
May your days always be peaceful and blessed.
As you go I pray
that wherever you are, whatever you do
you find favour and affection in the eyes
of all who behold you.
I pray that you never lose your faith,
and grow older in the knowledge
and communion with our Father
Amen.

I bless the Lord always for you.

For my parents, whom have loved me so much.
